Factory managers, for air-compressors in their factories, they either are pro-centrifugal or they are pro-Oil-free screw type. Each have their opinions.
The centrifugal-pro will argument, the Screw is not reliable and requires to much maintenance. And the Centrifugal is more energy efficient !
The Oil-free screw pro will argument, the Centrifugal is less efficient than Oil-free screw at partial load. The centrifugal is blowing off the excessive air to avoid surge !
Both are true !
But what if we can use both benefits and eliminate the negatives ?
The characteristics of a centrifugal and the industrial recip are similar !
If both are the most energy efficient, both have high reliability and low maintenance, why not choosing for the right combination ? Trimming of centrifugals by industrial pistons without having the drawbacks ?
